After the tragic passing of their guitarist/vocalist Erik Lindmark in 2018, no one was sure if U.S. brutal death metal pioneers Deeds of Flesh would continue. Then at the end of the summer of 2020, seemingly out of nowhere, a new Deeds of Flesh album was announced. With the help of numerous guest death metal musicians such as Luc Lemay of Gorguts, Corpsegrinder of Cannibal Corpse, Frank Mullen of Suffocation, and many, many others, Deeds of Flesh have brought forth Lindmark’s final work. Titled Nucleus, this will be Deeds of Flesh’s ninth album since forming in 1993.
