Track Premiere: Axeslasher — “Intro/The Axeslasher (Live)”

Ever wonder what might happen if the (self-described!) “psychotic screeching and heinous 1980s slasher worship” of premiere splatter platter thrashers Axeslasher were exhumed from the unsilent, insolent crypts, the decrepit seemingly abandoned woodland cabins, or the other myriad physical and psychological deviant depths the Denver quintet gleefully plumbs and dropped it smack dab in the middle of a rock n’ roll club?

Pure fuckin’ magic, that’s what.

But if you weren’t at Denver’s Bluebird Theater last December to get your head cut and eardrums blasted in person, the massacre is captured with brutal vivacity on Dead Alive, an undead album engineered and mixed by Matt Kogle (Live sound for Slayer), mastered by Steven Goldberg (Cephalic Carnage), and performed by a gaggle of maniacs with names like Lord Guillotine, Mr. Scissors, Dr.s Grind and Barbaric, and Professor Pizza.

It’s sick as hell and not out until October 31 — preorder here now — but Decibel has a couple evidence bags worth of exclusive tracks to (blood) tide you over. All of Dead Alive Side A, in fact, beginning with “Intro/The Axeslasher”!
