Graverape features only two members, drummer Jessie Wright and guitarist/vocalist Jay Clifton. Between the two of them, they craft some mutant mid-paced death metal that’ll knock you senseless before you can form any kind of opinion at all.
“I would describe our [sound] as a mix of influences ranging from Autopsy, Bolt Thrower, Asphyx, Obituary, Vallenfyre, Celtic Frost, etc.” says Clifton. “We play our death metal at mid-pace and throw in some doom in the mix for good measure. We recorded this at Abhorrent Audio and it was mastered by Ryan Bramm at Homewrecker studios in AZ . I (Jay) used to play guitar in Effigy in the early 90s . Jessie and I also play in Humanity’s End and have a few more projects. We had a few friends perform on this album to include Trevor Strnad (The Black Dahlia Murder), Sean from Boethiah, and Daryl Mitchell.”
