Norwegian black metal legends Mayhem have unleashed the first single from their forthcoming album, Daemon (which drops on Century Media on Oct. 25. “Worthless Abominations Destroyed” is the most traditionally black metal-sounding Mayhem track since their 1994 landmark De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas album.
“After teasing you guys for over six months, it’s finally time to show you what we have been up to in the studio this summer,” says guitarist Teloch. “Here’s ‘Worthless Abominations Destroyed,” a track that was made with the intention to have this ‘all is lost and hopeless’ feeling.”
