A few years ago, Batushka became the unlikely breakout “stars” of the black metal underground thanks to their mysterious Litourgiya debut. But yet another surprise arrived in late 2018; a disarmingly public split between the band’s co-founders, which yielded two different versions of Batushka. Decibel examines the fallout from the schism and the debut release from the Bartłomiej Krysiuk-fronted version of the band, Hospodi, in our September issue. We’ve got limited copies—which include an exclusive Exhorder flexi featuring a ripping live version of a demo-era track—and perhaps even more surprising (to some, anyway) Hall of Fame induction for The Darkness, in our webstore now.
