Track Premiere: Violent Life Violent Death – ‘Pray’

Charlotte metallic hardcore bruisers Violent Life Violent Death have only been a band for three years, but they appreciate the EP format in the manner that most hardcore and metal bands did about three decades prior. VLVD already have a pair of EPs to their name (2018’s Come, Heavy Breath and 2016’s V-EP), but on June 7 they’ll complete the extended play format triptych with Sadness Rains on Innerstrength Records.

To hold you over, we’ve got a stream of new track “Pray” below, bit first, vocalist Scott Cowan fills in the details. “Lyrically, Pray is a love affair with the beauty of creation, represented by the children of the night (symbolized as stars), bestowed by mother moon and father sun. Sonically, we wanted to use this track to end the record with elements from each of the previous pieces, while sprinting towards a powerful resolution.”
