Halcyon Way released their fourth album, Bloody but Unbowed, last year via Agonia Records. They’re still riding high on that release, sharing the video for “The Church of Me” before they head out on tour with Metal Church, who are also supporting a new album.
In the video, churchgoers are attending an energetic, heavy metal church sermon that gets both the audience and the choir unusually stoked about the service—if your standard services included half-dressed choir members and fire.
“We are really hyped to get this video out there into the interwebs,” Halcyon Way explain. “When I came up with the idea for this song a couple of years ago, I immediately had a vision for a video with the sketchy tent revival preacher and I really think our director Chance nailed what we were going for. This was the second song I worked on for Bloody but Unbowed and it’s really a cool feeling that we were able to work together to make that vision real. We hope everyone enjoys!”
