The Accüsed’s “More Fun Than an Open Casket Funeral!” Inducted into the Decibel Hall of Fame

Throughout its history, Seattle has put many loud rock bands on the map. One such band is The Accüsed, who fused punk with horror, gore and extreme metal in a way that had never been heard before. They’ve served as inspiration for countless extreme metal bands—The Accüsed have been covered by Cannibal Corpse, Lamb of God/Burn the Priest and Municipal Waste, among others—and now they take their rightful place in the extremely-extreme halls of the Decibel Hall of Fame.

The seven-page history contains interviews with every member of The Accüsed who performed on their 1987 opus, More Fun Than an Open Casket Funeral! It’s available as part of the May 2019 issue of Decibel (#175), which also includes a cover story on Baroness, a Full of Hell flexi disc (featuring a JK Broadrick remix) and plenty more, so secure your copy now.
