Despite forming just under two years, ago, U.K. doom trio Godthrymm have been extraordinarily active, shuffling lineups, tracking various demos and EPs, gigging regularly and now releasing their first pro-shot video in the form of a live studio version of new track “We Are the Dead.” Band founder and guitarist/vocalists Hamish Glencross (formerly of My Dying Bride, Vallenfyre and Solstice) provides some valuable context for the recording, which you can check out below.

“Since starting this band only just over a year since, we’ve gone through a rapid evolution already. Following a couple of great festival appearances, some wonderful shows supporting such dear friends as Paradise Lost and Pallbearer, as well as our own headline shows up and down the U.K., we have become a very tight, focused live assault. So as we are currently in the process of securing a deal for the debut album, we thought what better way to showcase the band now than to do a live-in-the-studio session to try and capture the power and energy of our live performance. So, we spent half a day in a studio in Sheffield with the very talented Nathan Bailey as producer, and we are very happy to share with you ‘We Are the Dead.'”

Godthrymm is:
Hamish Glencross – guitar, vocals
Danny Lambert – bass, vocals
Shaun “Winter” Taylor-Steels – drums
