Enslaved to Screen ’25: The Early Years’ Before Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly Performance

Progressive black metal stalwarts Enslaved have quite the weekend planned when they arrive in Philadelphia for Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly. In addition to performing their landmark second album, Frost, in its entirety for the first and only time in North America, the Norsemen will screen Enslaved 25: The Early Years, a documentary on the band produced by Grimposium and Uneasy Sleeper, at the Fillmore Philly.

The documentary, which was executively produced by Enslaved founding members/masterminds Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson, focuses on the conception of the band and their earliest years together. After the screening, which takes place at 11 a.m., filmmakers David Hall and Vivek Venkatesh will host a Q&A alongside members of Enslaved.

The all-ages event ends at 1 p.m., so there’s plenty of time before doors. It’s free with RSVP, but spots are extremely-limited (less than 100 will be open), so act fast.
