Watch: Huntsmen – ‘Atlantic City’

November 29, 2018 Emily Bellino
Streaming, Videos American Scrap, Americana, Huntsmen, Post Metal, Prosthetic, video.

Chicago-based post-metal outfit Huntsmen released their debut LP, American Scrap, through Prosthetic earlier this year. An enthralling cross between thoughtful Americana and heavy sludge, American Scrap sounds like nothing else out there. One of the album’s softer cuts, “Atlantic City,” has just received the video treatment, which we’re happy to debut today.

The video is made up of black-and-white performance footage; the dark video matches the song’s aesthetic.

“Out of all the songs we play live from American Scrap, ‘Atlantic City’ always seems to connect with the listener on a personal level,” drummer Ray Knipe says. “It breaks down the barrier of the performer and the viewer and puts everyone on an equal plane – allowing a connection to be made. That’s why we wanted to share some of our tour experience through this song and hopefully bring that connection to whomever might watch the video.”

American Scrap is out now.
