There are a lot of recognizable names on Ováte‘s self-titled debut. A duo of Brodd (live drums, Taake) and Aindiachaí (live guitar, Gorgoroth) with guest vocal appearances from other members of Taake, Gorgoroth, Eld and others, Ováte is loaded with ripping black metal given a unique flavor from the horde of vocalists present on the album. Ováte’s debut shows the experience of the various members who contributed; the duo and company have crafted one of the year’s strongest black metal albums to date.
