It’s no great secret that Decibel loves Evoken. The funeral doom mainstays have played a number of Decibel live events, making appearances at regional dates of the Decibel Tour, the 100th issue show, one of Decibel‘s 10th anniversary shows and, most recently, Decibel Metal & Beer Fest. At the show, Evoken debuted new song “Valorous Consternation,” their first new output since the band recorded a cover of Paradise Lost’s “Rotting Misery” for the Decibel Flexi Series in 2012. Evoken’s last original material was 2012’s Atra Mors.
