Fans of A Life Once Lost and Fury of Five already know that those bands are masters of groove-laden heavy music, and clearly they also know how to reinvent that element of their sound. Members of those bands plus Vessl and Downstage have joined forces in Vexes.
Vexes fuse deep grooves into new song “Plasticine,” a refreshing and much-welcomed take on post-rock and alt metal. Their debut, Ancient Geometry, follows in the footsteps of bands like Isis, Deftones, Thrice, Pelican and Cave In but finds its own sound along the way.
