Necrovorous operate on what may be the filthiest possible level when it comes to playing old school death metal. Rife with headbang-worthy riffs and just enough slower, suffocating moments, their sophomore full-length, Plains of Decay, shows the Greek legion staking their claim to death metal supremacy.
Clearly inspired by the likes of Autopsy, early Death and, in its most oppressive moments, even Incantation, Plains of Decay is not a modern-sounding record by any stretch. Necrovorous wallow in the filth of old school death metal, and they do it well. Plains of Decay is due out September 29 on Dark Descent, but you can enjoy a full stream of it now, exclusively via Decibel.
