Canadian metal outfit Loviatar fearlessly take inspiration from a wide variety of influences on their eponymous debut album. Following in the footsteps of their two independently released EPs, Loviatar draws equally from My Bloody Valentine and Isis as it does from traditional doom.
The end result, as you can hear below with an exclusive, full-album stream, is an album that transitions between quiet introspection and atmosphere to epic doom and back. The release of the album also marks Loviatar’s Prosthetic Records debut. It drops on July 28, and you can purchase it here.
