Dude, I don’t even know what that title means. Whatever.
In a couple weeks, the Chi-town quartet Arriver will blast their frenetic, exacting noise of death out through your ass, by way of their December 2nd Scioto Records release, Emeritus. Not beholden to any genre, Arriver seek to overload your senses while taking you on a unique musical trip. If death metal is becoming too familiar, if black metal is too predictable, if you wish jazz sounded more like punk and your inner chaos could take sonic form, this is probably for you.
Today, we give you the song “URSa,” as good an entry point as any (though it’s the record’s penultimate track) to the band’s sound. Don’t let this be your only dip into their pool, though. There are other facets of their sound that you’ll only hear on the other songs from Emeritus. But give this a shot, and let us know what you think.
