Exclusive Full LP Stream: Warfather’s ‘The Grey Eminence’

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly 20 years since Steve Tucker entered the consciousness of the greater death metal community. When it was announced he would step into Morbid Angel’s vacant frontman position, it felt like the former Ceremony bassist/vocalist had massive combat boots to fill. Yet, nearly two decades later, when he re-joined Morbid Angel for third tour of duty, he was given a hero’s welcome.

Surely SOME of that has to do with the response to the previous Morbid LP, but that’s to take nothing away from Tucker’s performance on three Morbid studio albums and now a pair of records fronting the death metal machine Warfather

Recorded at Manna Studios by a man who is likely over the moon about this weekend’s Sam Bradford trade (that’s Erik Rutan for you non-sportsball fans out there), Warfather’s The Grey Eminence is easily the best sounding recording of Tucker’s career. Not convinced? Then just check out the full album streaming below.

The Grey Eminence drops September 16 via Greyhaze, but you can pre-order your copy here.
