Asphyx Debut Decibel Magazine Theme Song “Deathibel”!

There are other heavy metal magazines that have been around longer. Some have larger staffs and bigger production budgets. Others even have more cred, as they print about 500 copies because they like to keep things true (read: have no audience). NONE of those other publications, however, have what you’re about to hear—their very own theme song written by death metal legends Asphyx. Which also happens to be the latest edition to the Decibel Flexi Series.

It should be painfully obvious that the band’s first new song in four years was written and recorded especially for Decibel, which still blows our tiny minds. There are extremely limited quantities of the June issue containing copies of the “Deathibel” flexi disc available in the Decibel webstore.  So, grab one now, salute your favorite Dutch dealers, your (maybe) favorite magazine while you scream along with the lyrics below.

“Deathibel”

Well, you just bought this magazine
Only written for the mean
Full of no-bullshit reviews
And bloody cool interviews
With this vinyl, yeah it’s flex
Now put the volume to the max
Tragic news, Lemmy’s dead
So, this may sound like Motörhead

Chorus:
Take you into sonic hell
Delivering the Deathibels
To those who know their metal well
Turn it up for Decibel!

There are no competitors
The last printing editors
Based in Philly, USA
Next article, no delay
Finally, deadline set
Made by and for metalheads
Just like we are, fuckin’ true
Bring the old-school straight to you

Chorus:
Take you into sonic hell
Delivering the Deathibels
To those who know their metal well
Turn it up for Decibel!

Another pile of promo stuff
Late at night, things getting rough
Streamings, mailers, Skype or phone
Work your fingers to the bone
Argh! Goddamn computer crash
Muthafuckin’ piece of thrash
So, this is what it’s all about
And the last Decibel is out

Chorus:
Take you into sonic hell
Delivering the Deathibels
To those who know their metal well
Turn it up for Decibel!
