EXCLUSIVE: Hollow Earth Cruise Past Hardcore and “Beyond Celestial Limits”

Hollow Earth have always sounded like they wanted to be more than a hardcore band. Sure, the midwesterners never lacked the ability to break necks with and start pits, but there was something around the edges that showed a real thirst for something different, with flashes of doom and melody. And new track “Beyond Celestial Limits” shows the band finally matching their own standards.

On this track from new album Parting Remains (out on Good Fight in a mere nine days; pre-order here), Hollow Earth have extended their sound far beyond past releases, into much fuller, more nuanced territory. Recorded by legend Tad Doyle, the band has become a plodding, melodic beast that still manages to make you want to jump onto some dude’s back so you can sing along.
