Streaming: Three Cuts From Unruh’s New Retrospective

Long before guitarist Ryan Butler joined Landmine Marathon he played with the Phoenix hardcore band Unruh. During their five-year run (from 1995 to 2000) they released multiple demos, two albums and toured widely. In addition to seeding Landmine they birthed a rogue’s gallery of Arizona hardcore bands.
Unruh recently celebrated their 20-year anniversary with a brief reunion. Now, their entire recorded output is bring released as triple LP box set from King Of The Monsters. We’re streaming one track from each of the albums below.

The package includes the Misery Strengthened Faith and Setting Fire To Sinking Ships LPs. A third LP includes two demos, the band’s splits with Enewetak and Creation Is Crucifixion, the Friendly Fire EP and their material from the Seven Deadly Sins and Cry Now, Cry Later compilations. The digital version will include a live set from CBGB’s in 1997.
