New Hampshire Survives Ringworm Infection (Barely…)

“Some of you might have been conceived to this song,” Ringworm frontman James “Human Furnace” Bulloch told the gathered at Sonny’s Tavern, the small, homey New Hampshire bar the Cleveland metallic hardcore levelers were then steadily transforming into an overly-amped emotional and physical pressure cooker. “The album it’s on came out in 1993. You do the math.”
Now, your humble correspondent is of a venerable enough age that he was not forced to imagine his parents getting freaky to “Flatline,” but some in the crowd clearly were not — and those youngsters, as improbable as this may seem, bore witness to a Ringworm that was as fiery, as passionate, as devastating, and, yes, as ridiculously fucking tight as the band has been at any time in its storied run.
