We Got Fucking Snubbed…

The new and improved Deciblog is still somewhat in its infancy, so maybe we shouldn’t expect to be properly recognized by a bunch of bespectacled, quipping, big city socialists like NPR, but it’s still hard to conceal our hurt for not being included on their list of 2010′s best metal writing. Now, since there are two articles from our bros at Metal Sucks and one article from our other bros at Invisible Oranges, it’s not all a wash. But why not a mention of the incredibly nuanced St. Anger defense by Kevin Stewart-Panko or the eye-opening and blissfully genuine review of Reign in Blood by the his son Sam? Or what about all that shit we do with a parrot?
Of course, there are only four articles mentioned and regardless we’re happy to see some extreme metal writing get singled out for its respectable content. And maybe next year, when we’ve blossomed into a true behemoth those goddamn nerds can give us some credit where it’s due. Wait until you see us in 2011, metal fans. We’re gonna put a monkey in a box with every Autopsy record and little Bongo’s not coming out until he’s written some award-winning material.
