For those who prefer their gore-flecked DM grunted in Romanian, have we got a new release for you. Transylvanian quintet Putred are unleasing a fresh 10-song set of horrific sounds (complete with a Benediction cover) on their upcoming third full-length, Blestemul Din Adânc. Avoiding the journalistically lazy and obvious appeal of resorting to cheap vampire jokes here, we will instead assert that this gruesome fivesome—Filip (vocals), Uriel (guitars), Corina (bass), Denis (guitars), Ficus (drums—are more about the recently disemboweled dead than the living undead. And after unsuccessfully trying to get AI to decipher and translate the lyrics, we’re left only with the conceit that, regardless of the actual lyrical content, death metal sounds pretty brutal in Romanian,

Blestemul Din Adânc was recorded and mixed by Uriel Aguillon at Natorum Demonto Studio, Deva, Romania. Drums were tracked at ZTN Studios, Timișoara, Romania, November, 2025. Mastering was done at Spatial Mastering Studios, London. It’s set for release on CD and digitally on March 20 via Awakening Records. Place your preorder here (Awakening) or here (Bandcamp).
The band offered this enthusiastic statement regarding its latest full-length:
“This album is a manifestation of everything Putred stands for. No polished sound, no comfort, just a wall of sound pushed until it starts to rot. The album moves slowly and violently, dragging the listener into its own nauseating pace. The best way to describe it is as a mix between the brutality and aggression of Repulsie Post-Mortem and the grandiosity of Megalit Al Putrefacției; this time, the sound production feels more natural and organic.”
