Deadguy’s seminal first two EPs Work Ethic and White Meat have been remastered and collected onto cassette—and Decibel is the ONLY place you get them! Originally recorded in February and September of 1994, two of the six tracks found here would later appear on Decibel Hall of Famer Fixation on a Coworker. In honor of reuniting this original lineup for Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest Philly: 2021, we surprised fest attendees with this cassette collection as a merch table exclusive, and now we have just a handful of each color left to offer up for mail order.
Limited to just 100 copies of each version on Blue and Smoke colored shells, this Decibel exclusive Work Ethic With a Side of White Meat edition tape has been updated with brand new artwork from Tim Singer including a four-panel fold out with full lyrics for both EPs on the reverse. Deadguy has been killing music and killing dreams since you were a pup, but it took until 2021 for you to find Pops, Dave, Crispy, Keith and ‘Trim’ on cassette. Judging by the line at their merch table all weekend, these tapes won’t last long, and with Deadguy gearing up to level L.A. at our next edition of Metal & Beer Fest in December at the Belasco, we’re sure there will be more surprises on the way.
Tapes are on hand and ship out immediately. Work Ethic was originally released on Engine / Blackout! Records and previously available on 7-inch vinyl and compact disc. White Meat was originally on Dada records and limited to 500 copies on 7-inch vinyl.
