Album Stream: Saber – Without Warning

Los Angeles-based heavy/speed metallers Saber released their debut EP, Strike of the Witch, last year and wasted no time in following up with a full-length. Once more working with Church Recordings, owned by Haunt’s Trevor William Church, Saber released their debut album Without Warning on the first of the year. Streaming below, Without Warning offers 8 tracks of heavy metal so precisely excellent and so impossibly fast it’s like they played themselves here straight the ‘80s. Talking riffs like a Delorean.

Without Warning was recorded last year with Church at the helm. “It was a great experience,” Yolo, one of Saber’s three guitarists says. “Trevor really made it memorable.” Dave Sanchez, Saber’s bassist says he and his bandmates “learned a few things and … were more than happy with what we got done.”

“If you love metal from the ‘80s, then Saber is the band for you!” promises Yolo. Another guitarist, Jesus Decay, says “Expect some classic sounding songs ranging from Rock to Heavy Metal.” Vocalist Steve Villa sums it up well himself. He says, “By owning this record you got speed, glam, and rock all in one album.”

Meanwhile, since finishing and releasing their stellar debut, Saber are “currently writing for album 2,” Jesus says. Saber are “also looking for a drummer to complete the line-up,” according to the band, who says they look forward to soon being able to “practice all together” again.
