Decibel is shocked and saddened to learn of the death of ex-Children of Bodom guitarist/vocalist and current Bodom After Midnight frontman Alexi Laiho. According to a statement released by Napalm Records, the longtime Finnish musician — who creatively blurred the lines of melodic death metal and power metal — passed away at home in Heklsinki sometime last week. No cause of death has been reported. Laiho was 41 years old.
