Full Album Stream: Illyrian – ‘The Entity, Unknown’

Calgary, Alberta thrashers Illyrian are dropping their second album, The Entity, Unknown, tomorrow, and we’ve got a full stream of the release for you to check out today.

The Entity, Unknown finds the band delivering razor-sharp modern thrash that nods to death, gets a bit tech, but mainly focuses on just thrashing hard. With a clear production and some very cool—and very metal—cover art, Illyrian have crafted a solid release here, one that fans of The Black Dahlia Murder or Revocation might want to pay attention to.

The album, which the band is releasing independently, follows up the band’s 2016 debut, Round 2: Fight!

“We’re super excited how this record turned out—we feel this one’s our truest representation of us as people and musicians yet,” says vocalist/bassist Jeff Perry. “If you’ve gotta get your blood pumping for a half hour or so, toss this one on and let us help you out with that! It’s a high-octane sonic barrage, front to back, with a couple moments here and there to let you catch your breath.”
