Full Album Stream: Putrisect – “Cascading Inferno”

Baltimore-based death metallers Putrisect have unleashed a steady barrage of quality material since their demo dropped in 2014. After that promising debut, the five piece appeared on a three-way split with Funebrarum and Interment, as well as a split with Scorched. So this new EP, Cascading Inferno, is the first time Putrisect have released anything without a supporting band since their demo four years ago.

Well, the six tracks that comprise Cascading Inferno certainly stand on their own. If you count yourself among the band’s existing fanbase, this EP will satisfy all the cravings for fresh material, and then some. While newcomers to Putrisect’s unique blend of atmosphere and brutality will find this EP to be a one-way portal into an uncanny world of bizarre death practices.

Says the band: “We’re excited to join forces with Blood Harvest to release Cascading Inferno.  We’ve been holding on to these songs after an extended delay and happy to have found them a good home.  Stay tuned for future shows and a follow up album with a new drummer.”
