Watch: Green Death — “I Am Eternal”

Boasting a sound that fuses a unique “Death Moines” attack onto an deft amalgamation of classic era Testament, Exodus, and Nuclear Assault — as well as a few welcome death doom secondary mutations — ace dark thrash specialists Green Death arrived at the gates of underground metal greatness with 2015’s Manufacturing Evil.

Now, the tighter, nastier, more expansive follow-up Hallowmass sees the Iowa quartet scaling the walls, armed with driving riffs and twisting compositions that’ll put more than a few poser heads on metaphorical pikes.

And we’ve got the exclusive premiere of the performance video for the scorching new track “I Am Eternal” below.

Hallowmass is a celebration of Halloween — a throwback to some classic subject matter along with more serious themes about religion and cults,” vocalist Sol Bales tells Decibel. “‘I Am Eternal’ is the first single and it’s a Vampire origin story. I think a lot of the lyrics were written while watching the new Castlevania series and some other vampire flicks. On this album, I wanted to create that creepy-yet-fun vibe I had around Halloween as a kid. I hope we succeeded.”

Hallowmass is out on October 19th. Preorder digitally via iTunes, on double colored vinyl here, or on CD at Amazon.
