After nearly a decade of eluding us, Kreator‘s Pleasure to Kill is finally coming off the big Hall of Fame board. I’d like to applaud the perpetually-intrepid Kevin Stewart-Panko for pounding away at this piece for the past several years. And I must express extreme gratitude to Gunnar Sauermann, who not only finally corralled Rob Fioretti into a phone call, but interviewed him in his native German and also translated and transcribed the interview for Decibel. It’s because of those herculean efforts that we can all finally enjoy the definitive story on one of the most important thrash records ever made.
