Anxiety isn’t cool, but appropriately named Oakland-based hardcore punk trio Nervous totally are. They startled eardrums with last year’s twitchy, Jesus Lizard-nodding, self-titled debut full-length, and will be issuing their Duration and Delusion EP on Twelve Gauge/Turbulent (frontman Jake Spek’s own new label) October 23. Fourth song “The Break,” streaming below, is a pretty good representation of an attack that’s much more fierce than the promo photo above.
