L.A. stoner-doom outfit Behold! the Monolith incurred an unspeakable tragedy in 2013 when a car crash took the life of bassist/vocalist Kevin McDade way too fucking early. Jordan Nalley eventually assumed responsibilities at the mic, and BTM’s self-released Architects of the Void is their first new album since 2012’s acclaimed Defender, Redeemist. The ubiquitous Billy Anderson manned the boards for the seven-song album, and you can hear the furious slow burn of “Philosopher’s Blade” below.
