Studio Report: Drugs of Faith Record Split with Cloud Rat

I hate studio reports because I get to hear about music instead of the actual music. Like yeah, it’s great you’re doing something but I need that goodness hurled into my sound pits right now.
But we should all be willing to wait for something like Drugs of Faith, the grind and roll three-piece led by Richard “Grindfather” Johnson (Enemy Soil, Agoraphobic Nosebleed) who have just recorded tracks for a split 7″ with another grand grind trio, Cloud Rat. DoF hit up Developing Nations in Baltimore to record with Kevin Bernsten and this will be coming out on Poland’s own Selfmadegod Records.

Cloud Rat is apparently looking to record for a full length and two splits, one of them being the DoF sweetness, and the plan is this split will be mastered by April. This is DoF’s first recording since “Paralyzed” for the Godflesh cover album, and I can only assume it is the same combination of shuddering blasts and scar-carving rock licks, while Cloud Rat may surprise us all with something out of left field.

Who knows? We haven’t heard it, but hopefully that will be remedied soon.
