Featuring former Landmine Marathon axe-slinger, Eric Saylor, Seas Will Rise is a relatively new entry into the world of thunderously grimy, caustic and brutal hardcore that falls on the punky end of the Swe-death spectrum with touches of crust and enough peace punk influence to have the local pigs salivating at the chance to dust off their taxpayer-funded water and sound cannons.
The band’s debut full-length, Disease Is Our Refrain, was recorded and mixed by current Landmine Marathon guitarist Ryan Butler (Phobia, Misery Index) and mastered by From Ashes Rise frontman Brad Boatright (Tragedy, OFF!) and is set for release March 6 via Man In Decline Records and Anxiety Machine Records. As we understand it, the album will be limited to 500 LPs, including three different colors of vinyl for all you collector scum out there. So, if you like what you hear, we hope you didn’t give up getting off your ass for Lent.
They’ve been kind enough to provide us with a little preview of the album in the form of “Wash Out and Rust”:
