Free Music from Nero Order

It’s nice to waltz into a summer weekend with some free wicked sick tuneage, so thanks to San Francisco’s Nero Order you can download one of their epic tracks for zero money down. True DIY acolytes, the band self-financed the recording of debut album The Tower, and are also releasing it their own damn selves. Yes, a band who actually believes in their music enough that they’re willing to fork over their own dough to get exactly what they want. But we wouldn’t have minded investing a few bucks in this odyssean undertaking
While the band favors more monumental constructions, this isn’t your dad’s metalgaze. Instead they roll through dirty, atonal screeds and heady progressive sludge while singer Alex Lindo rants and shrieks, casting out demons and inviting in new ones.

So after the jump, come and get “Every Pillar and Its Crumbling,” featuring your favorite ass-kicking asskicker, Oxbow’s Eugene Robinson. At fifteen minutes, this is like getting a Trash Talk double LP for free and we assure you it’s worth it.

And if you like what you’re hearing, just go buy The Tower. It’s only ten bucks, cheapskate.
