YES.

What else can we say?

Six years after reuniting for a “one-off” show at A389 Fest and more than two beyond a venue-leveling performance at This is Hardcore, one of the greatest, most adventurous, evil darkness synergizing, truly iconoclastic bands to come out of the mid-’90s metallic hardcore explosion — seriously, 1996’s preconception-killer Entheogen will still blow your mind and test your audial fortitude — is finally back with new music…and it absolutely slays.

“We have actually been locked in the studio for most of the past year throwing riffs around trying to find new Bloodlet songs,” vocalist Scott Angelacos tells Decibel. “‘Viper…’ came together quickly and I think it really captures where we are right now. I’m stoked it’s the first new song to come out.”

The two song EP hits digital on 12/20 with a 1/17 physical release via the always eclectic Translation Loss — preorder here — but we’ve got the title track streaming exclusively for you right here, right now.

“The song is about summoning Astaroth, the Duke of Hell, in an attempt to manipulate him to destroy perceived enemies,” Angelacos says. “We end up summoning the unholy trinity… It ends horribly like most of our songs.”
