The Kennedy Veil have long prided themselves on being a modern American death metal band that ignores trends in favor of honing their sound. Ten years into their existence, The Kennedy Veil have joined forces with new vocalist Darren Liwen and released their first song with Liwen and first since 2017’s Imperium full-length.
The video for “Conquering the Accursed” opens with a quote from Revelations 6: 1-2 before launching into the song itself. Chunky guitars and blast beats meet dissonant leads and Liwen’s blackened growls. Tasteful symphonic elements round out the song. “Conquering the Accursed” builds on the sound that The Kennedy Veil established on Imperium, taking a more brutal approach.
