UK death metal outfit De Profundis have been prolific throughout their career, releasing five albums since 2007. The latest, The Blinding Light of Faith, is a scathing criticism of religion from the death metal outfit. You can stream “Martyrs,” a new song from the album below.
“The Blinding Light of Faith is an album about three of the most merciless and bloodthirsty institutions in human history,” De Profundis state. “There is no nation or people on this earth who haven’t suffered under the savagery of at least one of the Abrahamic religions and to reflect that suffering we have made the heaviest, most aggressive record of our career.”
The Blinding Light of Faith is due out May 10 on Transcending Obscurity.
