Tokyo pop-grinders Melt-Banana will be supporting Tool for 15 shows on their upcoming US stadium tour, starting May 29th in Tampa. When they’re not in front of Tool fans (who are traditionally welcoming and open-minded when it comes to opening bands), M-B will play headlining shows before and after meeting up with the Tool machine, though some shows were cancelled to accommodate the supporting dates. “Please understand that there won't be such an opportunity for us in the future, and we also had a dilemma to decide it,” the band said in its newsletter. “We hate canceling shows, but this time we had no other way and we had to. We are thinking to tour in USA again soon as ‘Bambi's Revenge US tour.’” On Tool’s stage show for the tour: “I heard that members look like flying in the sky on the stage, using many projectors.”
