THE HALL OF FAME

The Decibel Hall of Fame provides the definitive stories behind the making of extreme music's most important albums. Each month the seven-page stories (upwards of 5,000 words) include interviews with every musician who performed on the inducted record.

DECIBEL HALL OF FAME TOURS AND SHOWCASES

In 2009, Decibel began assembling special Hall of Fame showcase performances and full tours where artists perform their Hall of Fame-inducted records in their entirety. We'll continue to put several of these shows together each year, and whenever possible produce limited edition HOF vinyl LPs and posters for the inducted album. DECIBEL HALL OF FAME BOOK

Precious Metal: Decibel Presents the Stories Behind 25 Extreme Metal Masterpieces.

In July 2009 Da Capo Press published a book of 25 edited and expanded Hall of Fame pieces titled Precious Metal: Decibel Presents the Stories Behind 25 Extreme Metal Masterpieces. The book, which MSN Music called, "one of the best books ever written about metal," features a previously unreleased bonus HOF on Darkthrone's Transilvanian Hunger, which is unavailable anywhere else.
