You and I agree on something, only I will say this might be one of my favorite kids movies ever.  I still say "For-ehhhhh-verrrrr" all the time.

You should check out Slapshot though.  Fucking awesome hockey movie.  So funny.

Your killing me, Smalls.

Oh and Any given Sunday is good, just for the speech at the end. "Cuz when we add up all those inches, that's gonna make the fucking difference between WINNIG and LOSING, and LIVING AND DYING!!"

By the way, just wanted to drop some knowledge on you guys:

I was on the hotel treadmill today, and discovered the first half of Isis's "Oceanic" matches up wthe the last half of Ernest Scared Stupid.

No sports movie touches Major League imo. Slapshot's right there though.

My favorite Metallica song is Ace of Spades off of Vulgur Display of Power.

Oh, nice call on the Major League.  A band I was very close to starting was going to be called "Joe Bou" and then we went with "Hans Gruber" but it never happened.

The Sandlot is definitely a childhood favorite, but my number 1 will always be The Monster Squad.

Well of course, but I thought we were going with sports.  Monster Squad was better than Goonies to me.

Oh yeah, sports-wise Slapshot and The Sandlot are tied for me. But I agree 100% on The Monster Squad > The Goonies. And i love The Goonies.

Than again, it's pretty tough to top Mac & Me for pure 80s coke-fueled movie magic!

I knew a kid who looked just like Mac.  I also knew a kid named Michael Shitley.

No shit.

who remembers Flight of the Navigator?

for some reason I always think they drove through a Twisted Sister video shoot in that movie. . . .but it was Pee Wee's Big Adventure

I think I got it confused because the spaceship that kid is in keeps doing the Pee Wee voice.

"all i ask is that i live just one day longer than you, so that i can have the chance to spit on your fucking grave."

Oh yea, I remember seeing that one as a kid. Which reminds me of Explorers.

I wasn't a big Mac and Me fan, but I loved Flight of the Intruder. I loved all those 80s kids movies. The Goonies, War Games, *batteries not included, Little Monsters, The Wizard, The Last Temptation of Christ……

Good call on The Explorers.  I attempted to build a craft of some sort out of junk due to that movie.  Didn't it have some vaguely green message at the end about saving the planet?

I haven't seen that movie in YEARS, so hard to remember what the ending was. I thought it was something about them finding out the alien was just a kid and its parents were calling it back, so they decided to go home too…. or something like that.

What about Adventures in Dinosaur City?

My folks did a surprisingly good job of keeping R rated material out of my sight till I was at least in middle school.

Just watched Animal Kingdom. Great movie, didn't know anyone in it besides Guy Pearce, but it was an interesting twist on a crime family drama.

This reminds me that I still need to watch Gomorrah at some point.

I have no idea what that is.  The only Dino shows I know are Land Of The Lost and Dinosaurs.
