Very nice, hopefully my copy gets here this week. What's the flexi?

Never mind, I see it's Revocation. Fuckin' A.

Good to see Revocation doing well. I remember playing wih them and a Cuban folk/rock – not folk-rock – band to NOBODY in Allston MA back in '05 or '06.

Ha! So Revolver only covers Arch Enemy? I love the timing of this. Now if only my mailbox had good timing.

Wha?

It's a studio report.  Her football make up and vocal effects are soooooooooo corny.  The guitars are still nice, but I cringe at the inevitable interview about how she re-hashes how enabling and strengthening it is to be a woman in this music.

All I'm saying is Decibel covers some material you'd find in more mainstream magazines for the simply reason that such things sell (and there's nothing wrong with that). It just makes the "purity" argument sound really fucking funny.

Yes, but the big key is a lot of Decibel covers are generally the least interesting stories.

I mean… Cannibal Corpse has been the cover how many times? I rest my case.

You know you're the only one who is going to complain about the upcoming front cover 14 (or is it 16) page Death article.

Well, I can't afford it right now so it's no big deal. But I will have to special order the back issue of it to get the Jesus Lizard HOF. Which in itself is a bit painful.

Kind of like how in order to get the right HOFs, I had to get TWO issues trying to hype Shadows Fall as something worth listening to. The prices we pay…

Really, I've told you why I cover bands that sell more than 5000 copies of an album? Funny, I don't remember us having that conversation!

I have a strange question about the cover….

Does this sort of count as the second live cover (Maiden being the first)?

Is this the first cover featuring a dead musician?

Neither of which matter.  I just really like this cover a lot.

No, it's not really a live shot. But it is candid. Yes, first dead person on the cover (who was dead at the time of the cover).

Dead at the time?  I'd look them up on the back issue thing in the store, but images take forever to load for me.  Who has been on the cover that died later?

At risk of kissing ass, I really enjoy when you do something different with your covers with the colors or use a non posed image or a drawing.  It makes it really eye catching.

haha yeah, same goes for me. Im hoping the issues will get here a little faster with the new printer and all that. Back in the start of 2010 I got them before they had even shown the cover of the mag on this page.
