Went and saw Yob, Rabbits and Norska last night with Sabas in Portland.  Definite 5/5.  Was able to score all the Rabbits material on vinyl as well as the new Norska cd.  I would highly suggest checking out the Norska album, I believe Sabas started a thread on the old forum.  Fucking killer show.  Yob played for 2 fucking hours.  Heavy, heavy, heavy…..

Holy shit this concert was the tits. Each band was better than the last, Rabbits blew me away, I had never heard them before this, I highly recommend them to e eryone here. I talked to Mike from Yob and he said they are putting a new album out this year on Profound Lore and might press their own vinyl. You have to see Yob headline, when they open and only have a half hour it doesn't do them justice.

Funny shit, my best friends dad recorded a Yob album for them.  I like Yob, I have a shirt that does not fit me any longer, but I have it hanging up in the jam room.

However, my last show was Watain in Chicago, great show!

A Juggalo Mughshot is when you find yourself with a psychopathic stillborn, and since Ninja’s got to pay bills and shit, you can’t afford a Hatchetman Casket, so instead you put the infant corpse on the Weber, and then collect the ashes in an empty Faygo 2-liter. When you try to scatter the ashes in the Family Dollar parking lot, the wind changes direction, and you get a face-full of dead juggalo ash, like so much Lebowski.

Last show was Eyehategod, Misery Index, Magrudergrind, Cough, Strong Intentions, and Surroundings.

Cough started the night off solidly. They only played three songs but it was worth it.  5/6

Surroundings sucked. Was using their set to get alcohol.  1/6

Strong Intentions brought the enrgy back up, and really set the tone for the rest of the night. Solid grind. 4/6

Magrudergrind brought it on strong. Moshing started in earnest during their set. Good times. 5/6

Misery Index also brought a solid set. Good mix of old and new. Still want to see them on a headlining tour. 5/6

Eyehategod. Their set was nuts. About two songs in beer bottles started getting thrown making the pit area a bit treacherous. Crowdsurfing was the norm. Pure Beautiful chaos!  5.5/6

Walked away with a couple of sweet shirts and a smile on me and my girlfriends face. I think she has been fully converted now. headbang

Love Potion – Mentioned this band in the first post in thsi thread. Saw them again this time, and Ive grown to like them alot after getting into their music. Therefore I was also more into their show this time. It also helped I wasnt in a bad mood like when I saw them the first time. 4 out of 6.

War of Destruction – Denmarks oldest punk-band. Not really my thing. Some parts here and there was decent but yeah. The crowd liked it though. 2 out of 6.

Caught Godspeed You! Black Emperor a week and a half ago.

It was at a nice theatre with excellent sound, and they played for 2 and a half hours.  They had video synched to their entire set, and the music/video combination was so meditative and encompassing that I found myself gapping out for lengthy periods of time, just staring at the screen.

They played everyting from Lift Your Skinny Fists, f#a#, nothing from Yanqui which surprised me, and a couple others.

Just phenomenal.

I saw Immortal/Absu last week.  Pretty cool to finally see Immortal.  They played "In My Kingdom Cold" and I was a happy camper.  Absu I'm not really sure about.

I love Absu. Everytime I've seen them (in 3 different cities, no less), they've always brought the most high energy blackened thrash I've ever witnessed live (besides Aura Noir and Deströyer 666). The albums are well conceptualized and Proscriptor is one hell of a songwriter and a vocalist/drummer.

BTW, the Absu burger at Kuma's is one of the best burgers I've reviewed ever.

I saw Down, Ponykiller, & Cavalcade in NOLA last night.  Down hadn't played in a long time, but they sounded great.  Played all NOLA except "Jail" straight through…perfect.

they already played that Mardi Gras show(Feb. 22) I think… they made a cool shirt just for the show….you should have seen some of these dudes from out of town that came for Mardi Gras and came to the show…..beyond fucked up and throwing down in the pit in some drunken mess…great.
