The painstaking task of thread revival.

Thursday I hit up a thrift score, and scored some awesome vinyl and cassettes…

The Human League – Don't You Want Me 12''

e-40 – The Hall Of Game

Jesse Johnson – Shockadelica

Jesse Johnson – Can You Help Me/Free World 12"

The The – Mind Bomb

Herbie Hancock – The Best Of…

Then yesterday I hit the mall, and proceeded to buy these at FYE

El-P – Weareallgoingtoburninhell Megamixx 3

Waka Flocka Flame – Flockavelli

Gucci Mane – The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted

For the record; the reason why none of these were 'metal' purchases, was actually because I couldn't remember anything I wanted when I was in the store. I figure I'm going to use my eMusic for those this month.

I love rediscovering a source of income.

After a few mentions of Cobalt on the old forum, i've just started checking them out. For the uninitiated, which album would be a good place to start? Also, is the Man's Gin any good? From what is on available for listening online, it sounds good, but is anyone familiar with it, and would recommend it?

I first heard Eater Of Birds, which is really good, but I'd say Gin is the album to get. I have yet to hear War Metal and Landfill Breastmilk Beast.

I really like the Man's Gin album, I recommend it if you liked Alice In Chains' Jar Of Flies & Unplugged.

For just a moment I heard some Ian Curtis-like vocals in the first few lines of Hate Money Love Women. Anyone else?

Eater of Birds is fantastic but Gin's probably a good place to start.

If you're into dark bluesy folk (think Dax Riggs) then Man's Gin is well worth a listen.
